Medicare Supplement (Medigap) Plans
Fill the gaps Original Medicare leaves behind — with predictable costs and the freedom to see any doctor nationwide.
Original Medicare covers a lot, but it doesn't cover everything. Deductibles, coinsurance, and copayments can add up fast. A Medicare Supplement plan — also called Medigap — pays those leftover costs so you're never surprised by a bill.
- No network restrictions — see any Medicare-accepting doctor
- Predictable costs with no surprise bills
- Guaranteed renewable for life as long as premiums are paid
How Medigap Works
You keep Original Medicare (Parts A & B)
Medicare pays its share of approved costs first — typically 80% of Part B services.
Your Medigap plan pays the rest
Your supplement plan covers the remaining 20% coinsurance, deductibles, and other gaps — depending on the plan letter you choose.
See any Medicare-accepting doctor
No networks, no referrals, no prior authorizations. If a doctor accepts Medicare, they accept your Medigap plan.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I be denied a Medigap plan?
During your 6-month Medigap Open Enrollment Period (when you first enroll in Part B at 65), insurers cannot deny you or charge more based on health history. After that window, medical underwriting may apply in most states.
Does Medigap include drug coverage?
No. Medigap plans do not include prescription drug coverage. You'll need a separate Part D plan to cover your medications.
Can I use my Medigap plan anywhere in the US?
Yes. Any doctor or hospital that accepts Medicare will also accept your Medigap plan — no network restrictions, no referrals required.
